Notably, this comes a month after Harry’s trip to Britain for engagements related to the Invictus Games. The Sussexes also met King Charles and Queen Camilla at the monarch’s private residence, Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.
Royal commentator suggests Prince Harry’s reported UK move is a ‘plot’ to help brand Sussex
As per a royal commentator, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly returned to the UK to revive their “Brand Sussex.” Following his trip to the UK, the Duke of Sussex was reportedly left feeling “buoyed, very happy and really energised.” At the time, Harry allegedly decided to make more trips to the UK. Now, multiple reports suggest that the Sussexes are already preparing to relocate to Britain.
However, The Daily Mail’s Amanda Platell expressed her reservations about the Sussexes’ latest UK move. Platell said: “But I do wonder whether this renewed enthusiasm for Blighty from Harry – who once said while serving his country on tour in Afghanistan that he ‘didn’t like England much’ – is it yet another plot, cooked up in La La Land, to revive ailing Brand Sussex.”
“Is he now trying to rebrand himself as the loving prodigal son now that the Sussexes’ approval rating has tanked in the US – as it did in the UK – with interest in Harry and Meghan’s once multi-million-pound Californian Sussex ’brand’ fast drying up?” she added.
Platell cautioned that Harry shouldn’t live in the illusion that he can just come back to Britain and everything will be forgiven and forgotten. “He is in for a rude awakening. Prince Harry burnt his bridges here a long time ago,” she warned.
Sources close to Harry revealed that he wants “more foothold” and “more trips” in the UK and “less courtroom” drama. Harry is hoping to use this opportunity to reconcile with King Charles and Prince William.
