Sacrifice movie plot follows a celebrity gala that turns into a deadly hostage crisis
According to the official synopsis, the movie centers around Mike Tyler, an insecure movie star attempting to rebuild his career after his public meltdown became a viral sensation. He attends the environmental charity gala hosted by a billionaire entrepreneur and his wife.
But the evening is violently disrupted by a radical group led by Joan, who believes she and her followers have a duty to fulfill a volcanic prophecy and cleanse the Earth. What begins as a glamorous display of virtue and influence quickly spirals into a hostage crisis, forcing everyone involved to confront questions of belief, identity, and what they are willing to sacrifice.
This satirical drama takes aim at celebrity culture, media spectacle, performative activism, and elite hypocrisy while exploring larger questions of faith, conviction, redemption, and the search for meaning in a world built on appearances.
