Video of a Martin County resident rushing to aid an elderly woman who had fallen has gained online attention. As reported by The Daily Dot, the man discovered the lady lying face down in a puddle while she was waiting for assistance.
Footage shows the man getting out of his car and walking over to check on the woman. She insisted she’s fine, even though she clearly wasn’t. He calmly talked her into sitting up, then carefully lifted her to her feet. After getting her back into her chair, he pushed her away from the puddle and let her know that he was going to grab her a cup of water.
Posted to Instagram by Caramel Magazine USA, the heartwarming clip has earned widespread appreciation online. “I can’t even imagine how scary this was for her, poor lady,” sympathized a viewer. “Lord Bless this Amazing Man,” praised another. “Sooo glad you were able to help I know she’s grateful,” wrote an Instagram user.
According to the woman who shared the video, the Samaritan, Ryan, had briefly told her about helping an elderly woman. After watching the footage, she realized that his actions meant far more than he let on.
She noted that he tends to minimize the good he does, particularly for kids, and never looks for recognition. The woman said that the post wasn’t about rewarding a single act of kindness, but about recognizing him as a genuinely good human being.
Ryan is also the force behind Hand2Hand, a nonprofit for young people. It’s dedicated to empowering the next generation through mentorship, education, sports, leadership, and community work, providing youth with positive opportunities and lifting them up, one hand at a time.
