A tender encounter between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and pregnant singer Pia Toscano is getting attention. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted interacting with the “This Time” hitmaker at an event over the weekend. Toscano, known for her run on American Idol Season 10, appeared visibly moved by the conversation.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle charmed guests at David Foster’s foundation’s 40th anniversary celebration in Victoria, Canada, this past weekend. Pia Toscano, who is expecting, revealed to Page Six about a touching interaction between the Duchess and her baby bump.
Toscano, a longtime collaborator of the record producer since 2017, took the stage to perform “Feeling Good” at the high-profile event. Later, when the 37-year-old went over to the royal couple at the head table, she shared that the “Suits” alum placed a hand on her stomach. The Sussexes then embraced her and offered their well wishes.
“This is the most beautiful time of your life,” Toscano recalled the Duchess telling her. She also noted how chivalrous Prince Harry was, even taking a moment to move a chair for her.
Britain’s Got Talent 2024 winner Sydnie Christmas also found herself impressed by the Sussexes at the gala. She described the Duke as a “very kind soul,” with a “kind face, kind eyes.” Christmas also noted Markle “looked like she knew everybody” and “like she was having the best time.”
Meghan Markle has spoken openly about the challenges of pregnancy and motherhood. She and Prince Harry are parents to son Archie, born in May 2019, and daughter Lilibet, born in June 2021. During her first pregnancy, the As Ever founder shared that the lack of sleep felt like “jet lag,” and remembered doing yoga at 4:30 a.m. because she couldn’t sleep.
Lately, though, Markle has shared more positive reflections on being a mother. In 2025, she called it “better than I ever expected” and admitted that spending almost three weeks away from her kids during Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral had her feeling “not well.”
