Denise Richards’ Valentine will stream on Netflix next month
Denise Richards’ Valentine is set to arrive on Netflix next month, giving subscribers a chance to rewatch the sexually charged horror movie. According to What’s on Netflix, the film will become available to stream on the platform on September 1, 2026.
Directed by Jamie Blanks, Valentine is loosely adapted from Tom Savage’s 1997 novel of the same name and combines a murder mystery with a revenge-driven horror story. The film focuses on a group of women whose lives are disrupted when a masked killer begins targeting them around Valentine’s Day.
The apparent connection to the killings gradually points back to an incident from the victims’ school years involving Jeremy Melton, a boy who was rejected and publicly humiliated by several of them at a high school dance. Years later, Shelley becomes the first victim after receiving a threatening Valentine’s Day card and is murdered in her medical school anatomy lab. Similar messages soon reach the other women, followed by a string of murders that lead them to consider whether Jeremy has returned for revenge.
The film’s cast includes David Boreanaz as Adam Carr, Denise Richards as Paige Prescott, Marley Shelton as Kate Davies, Jessica Capshaw as Dorothy Wheeler, Katherine Heigl as Shelley Fisher, and Jessica Cauffiel as Lily Voight, among others.
Valentine received a largely negative critical response following its release. The film holds an 11 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 80 reviews, while its audience score stands at 33 percent.
