Anne Hathaway’s Little Five Casts 2 Rising Young Stars

Two rising stars have been cast in the movie Little Five. The movie is being produced by Anne Hathaway‘s production company and is based on the Women’s Little 500 race.

Ariana Greenblatt and Rain Spencer will lead the early-1980s Indiana University cycling drama from Anne Hathaway’s Somewhere Pictures.

Ariana Greenblatt and Rain Spencer are officially cast in the upcoming movie Little Five.

As per Deadline, the synopsis reads, “Set against the backdrop of Indiana University in the early 1980s and inspired by the iconic Little 500 bicycle race, Little Five follows four unlikely young women who come together to chase one impossible dream. As they fight for a place in one of America’s most storied collegiate sporting traditions, they discover that true greatness isn’t achieved alone, and that changing history sometimes begins with a single team.”

This movie will be produced by Hathaway’s Somewhere Pictures and Pigasus Pictures. It is based on real-life events of the women who participated in the Women’s Little 500 race, which takes place annually at the Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana.

Greenblatt is well known for her recent role as June in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and Sasha in Barbie. Her acting credits also include Fear Street: Prom Queen, Borderlands, Ahsoka, 65, Awake, In the Heights, Love and Monsters, and Avengers: Infinity War.

Spencer is popularly known for playing Taylor Jewel in The Summer I Turned Pretty, a role she will reprise in the upcoming titular movie. Apart from this, she is also known for Good Girl Jane, Iconoclast, Big Girls Don’t Cry, and Test Screening.

Little Five will be directed by Ian Samuels from the screenplay co-written by Paul Shoulberg and Gillian Williams. Samuels is well-known for directing Sierra Burgess Is a Loser and The Map of Tiny Perfect Things. Shoulberg is credited as the writer for So Cold the River, Ms. White Light, The Good Catholic, and Walter.

The movie will be Williams’ debut film as a screenwriter. Her acting credits include Lavender Men, Vault, David Makes Man, and Self Storage. No further details have been disclosed about the plot, cast, and additional crew members.
