California Governor Gavin Newsom has fired shots at Donald Trump‘s seemingly perfect health report, also calling out the administrator of the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the process. The former San Francisco mayor reacted to Dr. Mehmet Oz’s recent assessment of the US President’s health examination on social media, insinuating that the top administration official must be receiving rewards for hyping up Trump’s results.
Gavin Newsom takes an aim at Donald Trump’s health report
On June 2, Gavin Newsom took to his X (formerly Twitter) profile to respond to Oz’s Tuesday press conference at the White House.
While speaking to reporters, Oz claimed that Donald Trump has had a flawless health examination. Describing his medical records as “spectacular,” the Republican Party member lauded the US President’s work rate by saying, “That amount of energy and mental acuity does not exist in a vacuum. You have to have a vessel to carry it, and the president has a unique ability to just keep going at all hours of the day, and with remarkable strength.”
When asked why Donald Trump partakes in medical examinations so often, if his health is so perfect, Oz replied, “I think he likes the results. He does really well. He aces the test every single day. And I do actually believe that he is curious to make sure everything is going in the right direction. He’s a very meticulous person in so many ways that are often underappreciated.”
In response, Newsom reposted a clip of Oz’s comments on X and sarcastically wrote, “Does he get a lollipop and a sticker, too?”
The White House wasted no time in hitting back at Newsom for his quip. In a statement to the Daily Beast, spokesperson Davis Ingle remarked, “Gavin New**** is the worst governor in America, and he also may be the dumbest. President Trump’s sharpness, unmatched energy, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the last administration, when Democrats and other lunatics like Newscum intentionally covered up Joe Biden’s serious mental and physical decline from the American people.”
