White House Explains Why Donald Trump Posts So Much to Truth Social

The White House has spoken up about Donald Trump‘s record-breaking Truth Social activity. The president made 861 posts and reposts on Truth Social in May, his highest monthly total since returning to office. Such posts have not only been used for updates on Iran but also to post AI-bashing photos of his opponents, himself as Jesus, and more.

The White House says Truth Social’s surging popularity is the reason behind Donald Trump’s posting streak. Spokeswoman Olivia Wales said in a statement: “Truth Social has never been hotter, and it’s because President Trump offers his unfiltered and direct thoughts to the American people, without the biased media taking him out of context.”

Wales added that Trump stands apart from all previous presidents in how directly he engages the public. “The American people have never had a president as transparent as President Trump, who shares his thoughts with them in real time on all the important issues of the day,” she said. “President Trump is a one-of-a-kind leader who has his finger on the pulse of the people better than any of his predecessors.”

The numbers tell their own story. A Daily Beast analysis found Donald Trump averaged 27 posts per day in May, roughly once every hour. The posts ranged from AI-generated images, including one of Biden and Obama in sewage, to the U.S. military destroying Iran’s retaliation.

His posting does not stop at night either. A separate analysis found Trump could only have had a full night’s sleep on five nights in April. He posted between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. on 25 nights that month. On April 24 alone, he made 18 posts between midnight and 2:45 a.m.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle defended the late-night activity, telling the outlet that Americans simply cannot get enough of the president’s posts. “President Trump is the most transparent and accessible President in American history to the media,” Ingle said.

However, many have raised concerns about what some of these posts may suggest about the president’s cognitive health.
