Joe Scarborough plays Donald Trump’s past remarks after name-calling claim
Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough recently called out Donald Trump on his show over the President’s recent claim that he doesn’t engage in name-calling.
In a clip that is going viral on the social media platform X, Trump spoke to a reporter in Alaska, claiming he never mocks people by name. The President said, “Well, look, I have to make deals with people, so I don’t go around calling them names. I’m a deal maker; I’ve always been a very good deal maker. I became very rich because of deals, so I don’t go around, uh, mocking people, you know.”
Scarborough refuted Trump’s claims about not “mocking people” or “calling them names” by playing a montage of instances in which Trump has used insulting names for his competitors.
The montage showed Trump calling his predecessor, Joe Biden, “Sleepy Joe” to mock his age. In addition to this, Trump has also nicknamed Scarborough, who is a known vocal critic of the President, “Psycho Joe.” His other nicknames for his rivals include “Crazy Bernie Sanders” and “Crooked Hillary Clinton.”
Many users on X commented on a video of Trump’s words on the social media platform, with one writing, “Calling people names is all he does and it’s usually caught on camera.” Another X user wrote, “He literally cannot do a single speech without insulting someone or a group. I bet there hasn’t been one in the last 10 years. Thats all he has.”
