A new rumor suggests that Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple, a.k.a. Night Nurse, will save Spider-Man’s life in Brand New Day.
The rumor comes from Daniel Richtman. He shared on his Patreon that Peter Parker would be badly injured, prompting Punisher to bring him to Claire Temple for treatment. If true, this will likely be how the iconic shot from the Civil War comic series is brought to life. The shot shows Punisher holding an injured Spider-Man and angrily calling for a medic.
The above rumor comes two months after Richtman said that Dawson’s Temple would appear in Spider-Man 4.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026. A synopsis was recently shared, confirming its place in the MCU timeline: four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home.
“Four years have gone by since we last caught up with our friendly neighborhood hero. Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man is at the top of his game keeping New York City safe,” the synopsis reads (via Screenrant). “Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before.”
It continues, “In order to take on what’s ahead, Spider-Man not only needs to be at the top of his physical and mental game, but he must also be prepared to face the repercussions of his past!”
Destin Daniel Cretton directed the film. Meanwhile, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who wrote the scripts for previous MCU Spider-Man installments, reprised writing duties.
Tom Holland stars as Spider-Man. He is joined by Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo, who reprise their roles of Punisher and Hulk. The supporting cast includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Cólon-Zayas, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman, and Marvin Jones III.
