With Elon Musk’s name popping up multiple times in the recently released Epstein Island emails, he has come out to explain the nature of the messages exchanged between him and Jeffrey Epstein. Musk has defended himself by noting that it was the predatory financier who was pursuing him and that he chose to decline Epstein’s advances on every occasion.
Elon Musk addresses Epstein emails
On February 4, the Tesla CEO took to social media to share his stance on an email that mentioned him questioning Jeffrey Epstein about his island.
Shared by renowned venture capitalist Reid Hoffman, the email saw Elon Musk ask Epstein about “what day/night will be the wildest party on your island.” The billionaire businessman responded on X (formerly Twitter) by taking a shot at Hoffman, claiming that it was the latter who had visited Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean “multiple times.”
Musk then added, “I obviously didn’t anticipate anything actually shady, as I was bringing my wife at the time (Talulah). Nonetheless, UNLIKE YOU, I came to my senses and declined to go. Epstein tried to get me to go to his island so many times that eventually I just blocked him.”
While no evidence proves Elon Musk has been to Little St. James, the published emails confirm that he and Jeffrey Epstein had a prolonged chat about visiting an island between 2012 and 2014.
In a series of messages allegedly exchanged between the two dating back to December 2012, Musk inquired about the party scene on Epstein’s island. They even talked about the “ratio” at Epstein’s gatherings, before Musk confirmed that it wasn’t a concern for his then-wife, Talulah Riley.
Moreover, Elon Musk previously claimed innocence in a January 31 X post, writing, “I had very little correspondence with Epstein and declined repeated invitations to go to his island or fly on his “Lolita Express”, but was well aware that some email correspondence with him could be misinterpreted and used by detractors to smear my name.”
In September 2025, Musk had also slammed Sky News for its article claiming his involvement with Epstein. In a scathing post on X, he wrote, “Shame on Sky News for this utterly misleading headline. Anyone pushing this false narrative deserves complete contempt. Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED, yet they name me even before Prince Andrew, who did visit.
