Elon Musk‘s ex, Ashley St. Clair, is opening up about her past relationship with tech billionaire Elon Musk, revealing that the Tesla CEO displayed a drastically different side of himself after the birth of their son.
The proposed monthly payments to Ashley St. Clair reportedly fell from $100,000 to $40,000 after she rejected the NDA
In accounts shared amid the release of Alex Gibney’s documentary Musk, the influencer and former right-wing commentator recalled how her relationship dynamic shifted after welcoming their child, Romulus.
According to People, St. Clair said Musk was “very kind” in the early stages of their courtship, but that warmth evaporated once their son arrived.
“It was almost as if he didn’t show a certain side of himself until after,” St. Clair explained, alleging that the initial kindness was “all gone” post-birth. She detailed conversations where Musk expressed a desire to have numerous children, allegedly telling her they should create a “legion of children” together through surrogacy.
The shift in their personal dynamic eventually spiraled into a bitter legal battle over child support and custody. St. Clair has sought full custody of their young son, while Musk filed for custody following public disagreements over political views and child-rearing philosophies.
St. Clair also alleged she turned down a multi-million dollar non-disclosure agreement intended to keep her quiet, declaring that her “children’s dignity is not a commodity.”
When St. Clair declined to sign the NDA and then publicly revealed that they had welcomed a child together in late 2024, Musk reduced her stipend from $100,000 a month to $40,000 a month.
For his part, Musk has publicly dismissed St. Clair’s claims on X, calling the allegations false and labeling Gibney’s documentary a biased “hit piece” featuring individuals with an “axe to grind.” Representatives for Musk did not respond to requests for further comment regarding her statements.
The revelations mark another public chapter in Musk’s complex personal life, highlighting the stark contrast between the public persona of the world’s richest man and the private dynamics described by those closest to him.
