Logan Paul has come out in support of Paul Levesque, aka Triple H, after WWE’s Chief Content Officer amid growing backlash from fans. He was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for the second time last year.
Initially, WWE fans were behind Triple H’s booking but in recent years, fans have been unhappy with Levesque’s creative, and he received a ton of criticism regarding John Cena’s retirement tour and final match.
Logan Paul defends Triple H amid criticism from WWE fans
Logan Paul backed Triple H amid growing criticism from WWE fans. He recently addressed this issue on his Impaulsive podcast with special guest Lil Yachty, where he defended Levesque. Yachty said, “The fans right now love blaming Triple H. I don’t think that’s fair.”
Yachty responded, “You know, like, the fans right now love blaming Triple H. I don’t think that’s fair. Well, I mean, I believe it, though. I mean, it’s a company. People always feel the need to blame someone for something. Because you are a celebrity and you make a mistake, everyone chastises you like, ‘Oh! How could you do that? Why would you do that? You f***ed up.’”
Paul replied, “I’m telling you as an insider, it’s not his fault, 0 percent. It’s human nature, unfortunately, like how easy it is to just assign blame. ‘It’s your fault, we hate you.’ When in reality, most situations have a lot of nuance.”
Logan Paul’s co-host, Mike Majlak, put a hand on Paul’s shoulder and responded dramatically, “Oh, don’t say it. You are going to piss people off, dude. The internet hates nuance, hates complexity. They want simple headlines. They want to blame.”
Notably, Paul is a member of “The Vision” in WWE alongside Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Austin Theory. The Vision lost their last match against Rey Mysterio, PENTA, and Dragon Lee this past Monday night.
The 30-year-old also predicted on his Impaulsive podcast that Vince McMahon will not only return to WWE but that he would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Paul said, “Yeah, he’ll (Vince McMahon) definitely get inducted (into the WWE Hall of Fame). I also have a weird feeling that he’ll come back. I think he’d get an insane pop.” (via Sports Illustrated).
