Nancy Mace recently lashed out at the criticism around her arm tattoos on social media. The US representative revealed her tattooed arms while introducing her new YouTube show, Get Maced, in a recent video. This follows her defeat in the Republican primary election for South Carolina governor.
Nancy Mace calls out critics after revealing her tattoos
US Representative Nancy Mace recently addressed criticism of her arm tattoos in a YouTube video she posted a few days ago. The video also announced her new program, Get Maced, where she will discuss political issues and the day’s news.
In the video, Mace also gave fans a glimpse of her nine tattoos, which she got on both arms between 2023 and 2024. She has yet to reveal the significance of each tattoo. However, the reveal drew mockery from trolls who branded the tattoos as cringe. Some critics also labeled the tattoos as pathetic. In response, Mace took to her X (formerly Twitter) account and sarcastically taunted the trolls.
She wrote, “Thoughts and prayers to all those affected by my sleeves. Made the mistake of opening my social media this afternoon. Some of y’all are OUT OF CONTROL. Goodness. And God Bless America.” She also said in the tweet that her tattooed arms are not news and that critics should worry about more important issues. Mace accompanied the post with a photo of herself and her tattoos on display.
Mace also discussed the issue on the latest episode of her new program and asserted, “Everybody just needs to relax.” She urged critics to stop the trolling, saying her arm tattoos are “not a federal emergency” requiring immediate action.
She added that the tattoos are her way to “reclaim” her body and suggested that it “wasn’t even the dumbest thing” someone has done in the US.
