Two internet personalities with no background in the armed forces, Jake and Logan Paul, addressed U.S. troops at the Pentagon this week. This was after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth invited them to speak with service members. Hegseth welcomed the Paul brothers, both known for their online careers and more recently for combat sports and reality television. He said the visit for the brothers was arranged to “meet with our warriors.”

Video of the visit, posted online on Sunday, showed Jake and Logan Paul touring the building and speaking with service members. Logan described the visit as memorable: “We just got the pleasure and the privilege of getting a tour of the Pentagon, and uh, what a cool experience.” He added praise for the troops he encountered, saying, “To see all the men and women here who are serving this great nation, I don’t think there is any greater commitment to sacrifice than those who are willing to live, die, and fight for their country.”
It also showed the brothers taking photos near signage for the Department of War and interacting with Hegseth. Jake spoke to troops from the podium in the Pentagon’s press room. “Each one of you matter,” he said. “Take this moment and be proud of yourselves for what you do.” He also remarked, “This is the greatest country in the world, truly. We are blessed to be born here, come here, and we should never take that for granted.”
As of this report, the Pentagon has not responded to a request for comment explaining the decision to have the brothers address troops. Moreover, this is not the pair’s first public association with President Donald Trump. Jake spoke at a Trump rally in March, where he addressed the crowd on the subject of courage. Logan has his own history with the administration, having hosted Trump on his podcast, Impaulsive, before the 2024 election.
