Sydney Game Of Thrones Exhibition Dates

Fans left twiddling their thumbs, unsure of how to get through the next few months after the vengeance-filled “Game of Thrones” season 4 came to a close last night will at least have one thing to give their lives meaning this July.

As we’ve already covered, the “Game of Thrones” exhibition will be making its way to Sydney next month, after enjoying successful runs in New York, Mexico City and Austin during the SXSW music and film conference. Today the event’s running dates have been confirmed as from July 1st to July 5th.

Held at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art, the exhibition’s launch date on Tuesday, July 1st will run from 11am to 10pm. On the remaining days, Wednesday 2nd – Saturday 5th July, the exhibition will be open from 10am – 8pm.

The joint HBO-Google Play exhibition will be open to the public and free of charge. There will be costumes, props, armour and weapons from the set, a photo op on the Iron Throne, plus a virtual reality experience in the form of Oculus Rift installation that simulates the experience of traveling up a 700-foot ice wall.

The announcement comes as season four of “Game Of Thrones” is available on Google Play, which includes an exclusive featurette on creating the Valyrian language and a guide to new characters and locations.
