Well, here it is — the footage of Oklahoma State basketball player Marcus Smart pushing a Texas Tech fan in the closing seconds of Saturday night's contest.
After you watch the video, you may ask yourself why this is a big deal? It's a big deal because Smart is undoubtedly one of the best players in the nation, and although heckling occurs regularly, it's rare for a player to retaliate physically (aside from the 'malice in the Palace,' but that's comparing apples to porterhouses) even if it's only one shove to the chest.
Throw in the fact that many say they heard an 'N' word thrown and it makes this quite the little controversy.
Smart was given a technical foul during this moment and has been suspended three games:
The Tech fan issued a public apology and said that he will no longer attend games this season — although he said he only called Smart a "piece of crap." Smart has issued an apology as well for his reaction during the altercation — one that in a very close game very well possibly cost his team the game.
