Just when you thought the political system in our country couldn’t get more ridiculous, along comes this. Politico recently leaked photos of Rep. Madison Cawthorn wearing women’s lingerie. In the salacious pics, the 26-year-old is seen partying and drinking with several women while donning a black lace bra, sheer tank top, and large hoop earrings.

This wouldn’t be such a big deal except that the North Carolina Republican has been virulently critical of anyone who doesn’t adhere to antiquated stereotypes of gender expression. Only a few days prior to the provocative photos dropping, he tweeted, “There’s only one God and two genders.”

He also recently insinuated that fellow lawmakers have invited him to cocaine-fueled orgies and he bemoaned “the sexual perversion” of Washington on a podcast.
So it’s no wonder that as soon as the photos started circulating, everyone and their mother took a turn raking the congressman over the coals on social media. And he totally deserved it.
Not that the criticism got stuck in his craw or anything. Nope. The conservative Christian doesn’t see anything hypocritical about his actions.
