Fans of Kristen Bell and Adam Brody have gotten some good news from Netflix. Despite the low ratings, the streaming platform has dropped a major update for Nobody Wants This.
Netflix has renewed Nobody Wants This for Season 4. This update comes just weeks after Netflix dropped Season 3 this October. In response, showrunners Bruce Eric Kaplan, Erin Foster, and Jenni Konner said, “We are so happy and thrilled to do another season of our favorite show on television, which coincidentally is the one we run.”
The vice president for Netflix’s comedy series, US, Tracey Pakosta said, “Great love stories never go out of style, and ‘Nobody Wants This’ has become a true cultural phenomenon. This incredible creative team has built a show that grows with its audience, and our members around the world have embraced it season after season. We cannot be more excited for Season 4.”
What’s next for Kristen Bell and Adam Brody in Season 4 of Nobody Wants This?
Season 3 of Nobody Wants This held on to its position among the top 10 on Netflix. However, viewership dropped 28% compared to Season 2. The latest season failed to attract enough viewers to justify the huge amount of money Netflix has put into its production.
The official description for Season 3 of Nobody Wants This reads, “That ‘first time’ feeling, all over again. After recommitting to each other at the end of last season, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody) are moving into a home — and a relationship — that finally feels solid, embracing every exciting ‘first’ that comes with building their life together.”
It further narrates, “Sasha (Simons) and Esther (Tohn) are thrust back into the dating world, whether they like it or not, stumbling through all the awkwardness (and unexpected thrill) of getting to know someone new, right as Morgan (Lupe) takes her career to the next level, on her way to becoming an (almost) media sensation. Meanwhile, Sasha and Morgan have been circling something neither of them has been able to admit to.”
Season 3 earned an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes‘ Tomatometer and a 70% on Popcornmeter. The series cast includes Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Faracy, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Michael Hitchcock, and others.
