Nobody Wants This Season 3 has come out with strong numbers on Netflix. The show currently sits at No. 2 in multiple countries. However, the show has not been renewed for Season 4. While there are several things that seemingly favor a renewal, there are a few glaring issues that might push Netflix to not renew the show for a fourth season.
The creator of the series, Erin Foster, stated that while she is enthusiastic about where the story could go in Season 4, she isn’t too attached to the idea of a renewal. She has made it clear that she doesn’t want the story to keep on going for long, which might not be something audiences agree with.
Apart from Foster’s willingness to return for another season, the show has also suffered a 28% drop in viewership since its last season. While it is still holding strong by ranking in the Top 10, the viewership might simply not be a feasible number for the amount that Netflix has put on the line for the show.
On the subject of budget, it must also be noted that Adam Brody and Kristen Bell are some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. A successful Season 3 might just up the asking price of the two actors, making Netflix skeptical about renewing the show, especially against its declining viewership.
What happens in Nobody Wants This Season 3?
Season 3 of Nobody Wants This opened with Joanne and Noah having moved in together, with Joanne attending Jewish conversion classes. As the duo takes the next step towards building their future, Morgan and Sasha also take a step that changes their relationship. Esther also finds love in the third season, despite making it clear that dating wasn’t a priority after her split with Sasha.
Joanne and Noah also become engaged. Morgan and Sasha have a great time together but are unable to fully commit to each other romantically, given that their siblings are now engaged to each other. This only complicates that love triangle between Sasha, Morgan, and Esther.
