Blue Eye Samurai has added a few new voices to its cast. At the IGN Fan Fest: Fall Edition, the hit animated series was announced to have added Joel Kim Booster, Jonathan Pryce, and Sherry Cola to its already impressive voice cast.
The news was among the 90 exclusive reveals at the Fest, which spanned video games, movies, comics, collectibles, and TV shows. Booster will play Priest Ando. Game of Thrones alum Pryce will play Old Violet. Sherry Cola will play Cuma.
What to expect from Mizu’s journey in Season 2
In the Season 1 finale, Swordfather and Ringo assumed Mizu was dead, but she had set sail for London. Mizu had captured Fowler and was likely heading to the British Isles to track down her real father. Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 will likely see Mizu begin her quest to find Skeffington and Routely.
This could lead her not only to the identity of her father but also to that of her mother. The finale came with the bombshell revelation that the woman who Mizu thought was her mother was actually a maid who was given the half-White, half-Japanese child to raise.
The Season 2 teaser released earlier this year saw Mizu and her crew of one face a storm. However, the teaser ended with Fowler, now free, pointing a sword at a battered and exhausted Mizu.
The season could follow Mizu as Fowler’s prisoner as they make landfall in London. Fowler, who might have some standing left in British society, could leverage Mizu’s status as a half-Japanese to turn the people against her or have her treated like a second-class citizen. This might make things more difficult for Mizu, who would be out of her element even if she was able to subdue Fowler.
