What is happening in Carrie’s Trailer?
The trailer starts with Carrie attending her first day at school, unaware of the modern education system since she was homeschooled. In class, Carrie attempts to make friends but is mocked due to her naivety. After a gym class, Carrie gets her first period, panicking as the rest of her classmates record the incident and troll her online. There are brief glimpses of Carrie gaining her telekinetic powers, using them to torment her classmates and confront her mother.
Howell is joined by Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Joel Oulette, Josie Totah, Arthur Conti, Thalia Dudek, Amber Midthunder, and Matthew Lillard. Michael Trucco, Crystal Balint, Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, Tim Bagley, and Heather Graham are also guest-starring in the series.
Fans who want to catch it early can do so at Fantastic Fest in September. Flanagan is directing four of the season’s eight episodes. He is joined by Elizabeth Padden, Justina Ireland, Dani Parker, Elan Gale, Alexandra Magistro, and Rebecca Leigh Klingel in the writing department. Flanagan is also the showrunner while executive producing the series with Trevor Macy and Stephen King.
Carrie premieres on Prime Video on October 7, 2026, with all eight episodes. A preview is also set for this September at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival.
