Howard Stern’s television show is set to debut on HBO Max soon. The streamer signed a deal with Stern’s production company and SiriusXM to release a TV adaptation of his radio show.
The Howard Stern Show, a television adaptation of his live SiriusXM show, will stream on HBO Max on Thursday, September 17 at 12:01 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET. Additionally, new episodes will arrive on subsequent Thursdays.
“As the ‘King of All Media,’ I am honored to bring my SiriusXM show to HBO Max, and through HBO Max to worldwide distribution,” Stern said in a statement. “For years, my SiriusXM show has offered only brief video peeks. HBO convinced me to pull back the curtain and let the world watch.”
He added, “The amazing celebrities and musicians who drop by, our staff antics, and my conversations with Robin. Bringing my latest SiriusXM shows to HBO Max’s millions of viewers, every week, is a career highlight, and I’m thrilled to be joining the ranks of such prestigious television.” (via Variety)
The TV show comes just months after Stern announced a three-year deal renewal with SiriusXM in December, debunking previous retirement rumors. Meanwhile, the next season of Stern’s radio hit The Howard Stern Show will premiere on September 14. This time, only one show will air a week on every Monday.
