Jelly Roll mocked Donald Trump’s weight with an NSFW joke while guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The country star turned his own major weight loss into the punchline during Monday night’s opening monologue.
Jelly Roll hosted the August 24 episode while Jimmy Kimmel was away. ABC’s schedule lists him as guest host for four episodes this week, from Monday through Thursday.
The 41-year-old star began by discussing reports about Trump’s recent weight gain. He then connected the topic to his own experience after losing around 300 pounds.
What did Jelly Roll say about his weight loss?
Jelly Roll called Trump a “fat pig” before offering some advice about staying fit. He then took the joke into NSFW territory by referring to the personal effects of his own transformation. He told Trump, “From one fat pig to another, take it from me that physical fitness is very important. And trust me, you’ll be happy to see your penis again.”
The Hands Up singer later explained the size of his weight loss through another joke. He said dropping 300 pounds was like losing “an entire Donald Trump.”
The monologue also included footage of Trump criticizing other people’s appearances. One clip featured Trump repeatedly referring to former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as “not a fat pig.”
Jelly Roll then turned the subject back to himself. He joked that seeing his penis again after losing weight left him surprised because it looked like a “little Labubu doll.”
The comments came during the singer’s return to the late-night show. He previously guest-hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live! and is now filling in again during Kimmel’s break.
His appearance also comes shortly after announcing plans to step away from performing. He said he wanted to take “a year or two” off and focus on healing.
Despite the political jokes, Jelly Roll has previously described himself as having no political affiliation. He said in 2024 that he was neither a Democrat nor a Republican.
The White House had not publicly responded to Jelly Roll’s monologue yet.
