The first season of Chad Powers centers around Russ Holiday, who is a dishonored quarterback. However, he changes his identity via prosthetics and takes on the mantle of Chad Powers to help the South Georgia Catfish secure victory. But in the process, Powers gets exposed to Ricky, which sets up for a grueling season 2. This season will explore how Ricky and Holiday work things out between them by protecting the real identity of Chad Powers.
Apart from Powell, the season will also feature the likes of Frankie A. Rodriguez and Perry Mattfield. Steve Zahn, who plays coach Jake Hudson, will reprise his role alongside Quentin Plair and Wynn Everett, who will also be a part of the cast. Glen Powell serves as the co-creator of the show along with Michael Waldron. The show is executive produced by Powell, Eli Manning, and Peyton Manning.
The central idea of Chad Powers was adapted from an episode of the 2022 series, Eli’s Places by Eli Manning. This particular episode navigates the story of how an NFL quarterback disguised his real identity during the walk-on tryouts at Penn State.
Chad Powers season 2 is scheduled to drop on Hulu on September 3, 2026.
