Glen Powell will soon be returning to screens as Russ Holliday in Chad Powers Season 2. Fans will not have to wait much longer for the new season, as Hulu is bringing the comedy back with six new episodes next month.
Glen Powell’s Chad Powers Season 2 release date is arriving fast
The second season of Chad Powers is coming to Hulu soon. Glen Powell will return as college quarterback Russ Holliday, who will again use heavy makeup and a blond wig to disguise himself as his titular alter ego.
Season 2 premieres on September 3, 2026, on Hulu. All six new episodes will release together. The returning cast includes Powell, Perry Mattfeld, Steve Zahn, and Quentin Plair.
The new season will pick up after Ricky discovers Russ Holiday’s secret. Chad remains a star on the football field. However, his strange behavior starts creating new suspicions. Coach Hudson and Gerry begin questioning his actions. Russ and Danny then need Ricky’s help again.
Season 1 ended with a major twist for Russ. Coach Hudson suffered a heart attack during the finale, and Chad drove him to the hospital in his Cybertruck. Ricky sees the vehicle and becomes suspicious of Chad as a result.
Ricky discovered Chad was actually Russ when she found his recognizable arm tattoo at practice. Chad then decides to leave the team. However, Chad eventually returns for the game.
Ricky threatens to expose Chad’s real identity, but he calls her bluff and stays. Now, Season 2 will continue the complicated situation as Russ must keep his secret while chasing the playoffs.
The series was created by Powell and Avengers: Doomsday co-writer Michael Waldron and first premiered on Hulu on September 30, 2025. The sports comedy series is based on a skit featuring former quarterback Eli Manning titled Eli’s Places.
