A classic Al Pacino movie is being turned into a Netflix TV show. The project also comes from Sony Pictures Television.
Pacino has starred in a number of beloved movies throughout his acting career. He won a Best Actor Academy Award for his performance in Scent of a Woman, while he was also nominated for films such as The Godfather, Serpico, The Godfather Part II, Dog Day Afternoon, …And Justice for All, Dick Tracy, Glengarry Glen Ross, and The Irishman.

Per Deadline, it’s now been announced that And Justice for All is being turned into a Netflix TV show. The project, which is being written by Jeremy Miller and Dan Cohn, is “described as a gritty look at an idealistic attorney’s flawed life as he struggles to fight a corrupted legal system until he finally snaps.”
No casting information is available at this time. Miller and Cohn will also both serve as executive producers on the project alongside Ross Fineman of Fineman Entertainment.
Released in 1979, And Justice for All was directed by Norman Jewison. The cast of the movie also includes Jack Warden, John Forsythe, Lee Strasberg, Jeffrey Tambor, and more. In addition to Pacino’s nomination, Valerie Curtin and Barry Levinson were also nominated for Best Original Screenplay.
A description of the movie reads, “When a corrupt judge is charged with rape, Arthur Kirkland must defend him. Kirkland has had problems with the judge in the past, including one incident when the judge wrongly sentenced his client, Jeff McCullaugh, because of a technicality. Kirkland faces a moral and legal dilemma, especially difficult because the judge admits he is guilty.”
