Democrats asks Donald Trump to ‘lawyer up’

Donald Trump is receiving warnings from Democrats across the United States after the party defeated the Republicans in the latest midterm elections.

In a statement, incoming House oversight committee chairman Democrat Robert Garcia told Trump to “lawyer up” after commenting on the blue wave following the release of the midterm election results.

According to a report by Politico, Democrats are gearing up to use their power following the win to target apparent corruption activities that are happening within the Trump family. People believe that despite Trump heavily campaigning for the Republicans, the results have not turned out in the party’s favor because of rising gas prices, the cost of living, the ongoing war with Iran, and much more.

Garcia also previously spoke with Punchbowl News about the plans Democrats have put in place against the ruling government. He said, “We’re not starting from scratch here. There’s an enormous amount of work that has happened that is public, and there’s an enormous amount of work that’s happened that we’ve been quietly working on for many months.”

Trump also spoke with CBS News, where he congratulated the Democrats and said he was willing to work with them “for the good of our country.” He also claimed that if he was on the ballot, Republicans would’ve won easily. Trump added, “I know a lot of Democrats. I have total veto power, and I’m sure we’ll be able to work things out. I think they’re gonna want to work with me. Otherwise, I’d just veto everything, and they’re not gonna want that.”
