The Elder Scrolls VI Trailer Reveals Official Title & Logo for Anticipated Fantasy Game

The Elder Scrolls VI fans have finally received an update on the highly anticipated open-world game’s title. Bethesda has confirmed the title of the fantasy RPG.

The official Bethesda Game Studios account recently shared a new trailer. A post on X read, “Today we’re sharing with you all the name of the next Elder Scrolls title (did you guess correctly?).”

The brief clip confirms that the new game in the beloved franchise is called The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel. The trailer also revealed the game’s logo and coincided with the studio’s 40th anniversary.

Bethesda finally reveals the official title of The Elder Scrolls’ new game

The title reveal trailer establishes a cinematic atmosphere with swirling sand. A glowing scroll emerges from the sand before revealing the game’s title. Finally, a message appears on the screen before the clip ends: “The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate.”

The open-world game is reportedly set in the province of Hammerfell. The region previously appeared in The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and The Elder Scrolls Online.

Although Todd Howard hasn’t revealed the game’s story details, Sentinel is expected to be set around Sentinel City, a region in Hammerfell and Iliac Bay. It is a body of water separating High Rock and Hammerfell. Sentinel will likely be the first game about the history of the Elder Scrolls. Players may also uncover secrets surrounding ancient artifacts.

The latest update from Bethesda comes eight years after the sixth entry in the fantasy RPG series was initially announced. Fans may still have to wait at least two more years for its release, according to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg. “Sorry to say this game is still more than 2 years away!” he wrote on Bluesky.

The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel has yet to receive an official launch date.
