Jason Statham & Guy Ritchie Join Forces for Revenge-Fueled Netflix Movie

Jason Statham is reuniting with Guy Ritchie for a new Netflix action movie set in London’s criminal underworld. Set to film in the UK, the upcoming movie Dogfight begins production in early 2027. It marks the seventh collaboration between Ritchie and Statham.

According to Deadline, the film is described as a “stylish revenge actioner set in the London criminal underworld.” The report also reveals that the feature lists Black Bear, Toff Guy Films, and Punch Palace as its production companies. Ritchie is producing the film alongside Statham, Ivan Atkinson, and John Friedberg.

No other cast members have been announced. As per Netflix, the film will feature a “colorful” cast of criminals with Ritchie’s signature action style. Ritchie is writing and directing the feature.

Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are bringing their latest collaboration to Netflix

Statham and Ritchie have worked together multiple times. Their previous collaborations include Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Wrath of Man, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, and more. The duo also teamed up for Viva La Madness, which wrapped filming earlier this year.

Ritchie has found success with Netflix before. The filmmaker created the streamer’s hit series, The Gentlemen, based on his own film from 2019. Dogfight will be the first movie he directs specifically for Netflix. Statham will next be seen as the fan-favorite assassin Adam Clay in The Beekeeper 2, releasing early next year.

Ritchie’s next film, Viva La Madness, is based on J.J. Connolly’s novel of the same name. The film is expected to be released next year and will be distributed by Black Bear in North America. Amazon MG Studios will distribute Viva La Madness internationally.

Dogfight does not currently have a release date. Netflix has not announced whether the film will receive a theatrical release.
