She unveiled her 2026 costume at her 25th annual party at Cathédrale Restaurant in New York City on October 31, transforming herself into a giant, bloodied severed hand.
The ensemble was an oversized, graphic recreation of Klum’s left hand, complete with long red nails, detailed veins, and palm creases. It also included replicas of her signature jewelry, such as her wedding band and a small tribute tattoo for her husband, Tom Kaulitz.
The “Project Runway” judge peeked out from an opening near the wrist, revealing only her eyes and mouth. The design featured faux blood and exposed tendons at the severed end. The idea to appear as a giant version of her own left hand came to her last year, per NBC New York.
In an interview with Variety, Heidi Klum opened up about the challenge behind her gory severed-hand look. She revealed, “The hardest part definitely is wearing it. Especially everyone kind of leans on you a little bit, and it’s like, bro, it’s already heavy without you leaning on it.”
The 53-year-old added that it’s a little tricky to travel in it, but she doesn’t mind, as it’s just for one day a year.
