The Batman Part II Cast Member Reportedly ‘Run Over’ by Batmobile on Set

The Batman Part II reportedly halted production after a shocking on-set accident involving the iconic Batmobile. A new report claims a cast member was injured while filming a dramatic action sequence for the upcoming DC sequel.

Filming on The Batman Part II was reportedly halted after a cast member was allegedly run over by the Batmobile during a scene, according to The Sun. The incident reportedly took place earlier in October 2026 while the crew was shooting a dramatic sequence. The publication cited a source who claimed the individual received hospital treatment and is now recovering at home.

A source told The Sun: “The Batman films are known for their ambitious scenes but this one went horribly wrong and a cast member ended up being hurt.” The source added: “People working on the set said the Batmobile had run someone over. Filming was stopped after the accident.” The source also noted that these action films always carry some level of risk.

The Sun contacted the individual believed to have been involved, and they did not deny their participation. Warner Bros. reportedly did not respond to requests for comment on the alleged accident. The production has since resumed filming at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire.

British actor Robert Pattinson, 40, is reprising his role as Bruce Wayne in the sequel. Director Matt Reeves reportedly stepped away from the project for personal reasons earlier in October. Steven Soderbergh has stepped in to assist with the production.

Pattinson spoke about the transition in a recent interview with GamesRadar. He said: “I am so happy he’s come on to help Matt. It’s incredibly generous of him, and he’s doing it in the loveliest way.” The actor added: “Matt had put so much work into the script, and we’re almost done.”

Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright and Scarlett Johansson also star in the film. The Batman Part II remains scheduled for release in February 2028.
