Daniel Radcliffe & Peter Dinklage’s Cinderella Movie Is Just a Few Weeks Away

A fresh take on the Cinderella story is heading to Netflix, with Daniel Radcliffe and Peter Dinklage among the actors lending their voices to the animated musical. Titled Steps, the film shifts attention to Cinderella’s stepsisters and reimagines the familiar fairy tale through their experiences. Its streaming debut is now only a few weeks away.

Steps to release in November on Netflix

Daniel Radcliffe and Peter Dinklage’s upcoming Cinderella-inspired film, Steps, is set to arrive on Netflix in just a few weeks. According to What’s on Netflix, the animated movie will begin streaming on the platform on November 20, 2026.

Steps puts a new spin on the Cinderella story by shifting the focus to the stepsisters in the famous story, particularly Lilith, who is determined to escape the reputation attached to her family. During the Royal Ball, she takes the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand and sets off a series of events that changes the kingdom’s fate.

Her actions turn her sister Margot into a frog and allow Priscilla, a power-hungry schemer, to take control of the throne. With the kingdom facing a new threat, Lilith has little choice but to join forces with Cinderella to set things right. Their journey brings them up against many dangerous obstacles, while also giving the sisters an opportunity to repair their relationship.

Directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa, the animated musical features Ali Wong as the voice of Lilith, Amanda Seyfried as Cinderella, Stephanie Hsu as Margot, Bette Midler as the Fairy Godmother, and Nikki Glaser as Priscilla. Daniel Radcliffe voices the Prince, while Peter Dinklage voices Roderick.

As per Tudum, Tzue previously said about the film, “This story is, at its core, about very different sisters realizing that they’re more alike than different. I wanted to create a film for everyone who has ever felt like they didn’t belong.”
