According to a source, she felt like the production used her like a “cheap pawn” to promote the show’s upcoming season. Earlier, several reports suggested the Duchess of Sussex was cast in Season 3. It was even said that she might have moved to the UK for this particular project. But now it has been reported that no such deal was made.
Meghan Markle finding it difficult to move on from alleged ‘The Gentlemen’ Netflix snub, per source
Meghan Markle reportedly didn’t appreciate Netflix’s “The Gentleman” snub. A source told Closer that the Duchess seemed to struggle to move on from the alleged rejection. The show’s team allegedly dismissed talks of offering Markle a role. Meanwhile, her source claimed otherwise. Now, the “Suits” alum’s team believes she was seemingly “used” for promotions for the upcoming season.
“This was always a pretty unlikely collaboration considering how close the director Guy Ritchie is to the Beckhams and the Waleses; that should have raised red flags right there. And then there was the timing,” the insider said.
Reportedly, Markle and her team ignored the “red flags” because of the excitement. She was allegedly happy about being considered for the popular Netflix series. Moreover, the news became a hot topic of discussion online and in the media. With the latest alleged update, Markle’s circle claimed she was reportedly used for the show’s benefit.
Meanwhile, an insider told the outlet that the mother of two might be struggling to move on from the humiliation. “The more she reflects on the way it all unfolded, the more upset she gets,” they said. “She wanted so badly to give these producers the benefit of the doubt, but now, to her, it feels that she was used as a cheap pawn to promote the show.”
