Prince William is reportedly skeptical of trusting Prince Harry’s intentions after his recent GQ interview. The Duke of Sussex discussed his intentions to reconcile with King Charles, and Prince William with interviewer Zach Baron. He also hinted that he is willing to patch up with his father and brother, but certain people don’t want that to happen. However, the Prince of Wales is not eager to trust his brother again and it has to do with his wife, Kate Middleton.
Expert reveals how Prince William feels about Prince Harry’s olive branch
Royal expert Nick Ede revealed to Cafe Casino that Prince William is reportedly hesitant to trust Prince Harry’s desire to reconcile. Ede revealed that the future king may be wary of trusting his younger brother again and probably fears that he will expose more secrets of the royal family. The royal expert explained that the Prince of Wales is fiercely protective of Kate Middleton and their children and is thus treading carefully.
Ede explained that while the brothers will always have some kind of a bond, this doesn’t automatically mean that they will be able to resolve their differences and reconcile. William needs to be fully sure that Harry’s intentions to reconcile are genuine and private and will not result in another round of media interviews.
Ede said, “I imagine William will have mixed emotions about Harry’s public plea. There will always be a bond between the brothers, but the trust has been seriously damaged. William is fiercely protective of Catherine and his family, and I think he will be wary of another public reconciliation that could end in further revelations. Harry may be extending an olive branch, but William needs to know it’s genuine and, most importantly, private.”
The royal expert insisted that the royal family may eventually forgive Harry and Meghan Markle but will not be able to trust them. For the uninitiated, the Sussexes made bombshell revelations about the royal family on Oprah Winfrey’s show after they moved to the U.S. and in Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare. It is widely speculated that the brothers have not been in contact over the years.
