Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Could ‘Frustrate’ King Charles With Joint Outing — Report

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to draw attention with a joint outing in Nottingham, but the timing has raised questions about a possible royal diary clash. Their engagement coincides with King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit to Wales to open the Senedd ceremonially. A former royal aide has now explained why the overlapping events could create frustration within the royal family.

Former aide says Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Nottingham outing could overshadow King Charles’ engagement

Former royal butler Grant Harrold believes the scheduling overlap could affect media coverage of the royal engagements. Speaking to GB News on behalf of OLBG, Harrold acknowledged that the clash might be coincidental but suggested it could still cause tension.

“I imagine it is pure coincidence, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to ruffle some feathers,” Harrold said. He explained that working royals coordinate their schedules to avoid clashes. However, Harry and Meghan no longer follow the official royal diary.

“But as they are no longer working royals, Harry and Meghan don’t work to the official royal diary,” Harrold explained. He added that their advisers do not coordinate schedules with the teams of Charles and Prince William.

The Nottingham appearance is particularly notable because it marks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first joint engagement in the UK since their previous visit. Harrold believes Harry and Meghan’s outing could dominate headlines, leaving less media coverage for King Charles and Queen Camilla’s engagement in Wales.

He also believes the overlap could affect other members of the royal family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, he acknowledged that there is no clear evidence that the scheduling clash was deliberate.

“Whether they are an accident or on purpose is something we will probably never know, but the outcome is the same,” Harrold said. He suggested that Harry and Meghan should have checked the dates with Charles beforehand. Harrold said it would have been a considerate gesture, given the reported tensions within the family.

The overlapping engagements have raised questions about royal scheduling, leaving the spotlight on how Harry and Meghan’s UK visit unfolds.
