John Cena has an unexpected reason for admiring Arnold Schwarzenegger
John Cena recently opened up about his strong affinity toward Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Cena has a natural liking for Schwarzenegger’s background and story. He told Comic Book, “He is open, vulnerable, self-deprecating, and his advocacy of being useful has helped me narrow in on my purpose. Gosh.” Cena described Schwarzenegger as the embodiment of the American Dream. He explained how Schwarzenegger, an immigrant, brought a big idea and made the seemingly impossible possible.
“And how he is relentless and trying to get the best out of others; how he uses his notoriety and relevance,” Cena continued. He added that Schwarzenegger wasn’t just a prominent star he admired. But his words deeply inspired and influenced the future generation.
“Now (and like I said, his concept of being useful), his words found me at the right time and have helped hone my purpose for what I feel is act three of my life. Arnold has been very influential about how I move through space as a human being,” Cena elaborated.
Cena is all set to star in an upcoming action-comedy, Matchbox: The Movie, coming out on October 9 on Apple TV+. It follows spy and former soldier Sean Walker, who gets abducted with his friends by a group in search of a nuclear warhead. Things take an unexpected turn when Sean and his gang are accused of stealing a nuclear weapon. They try to bring the weapon back and clear their names.
