Prince William Fuming Over Prince Harry Pretending To Be a ‘Working Royal’ — Source

A source claims Prince Harry’s recent comments about his royal identity have left Prince William more frustrated than ever. The royal brothers’ relationship still shows no signs of reconciliation, even with Harry back on British soil. The Duke of Sussex returned to the UK with his family late last month for an extended stay.

Prince William furious with Prince Harry ‘posing as a working royal,’ per source

Prince William is reportedly “fuming” over Prince Harry “posing as a working royal” since his UK return. According to RadarOnline, Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, moved back to the UK on August 26. That’s six years after the family first left for North America after stepping down as working royals. Despite the return, the Sussexes remain private individuals rather than working royals, which makes Harry’s latest remarks especially sensitive.

The tension reportedly traces back to a visit Harry made to Ukraine. There, he pushed back against critics labeling him a non-working royal, saying, “I will always be part of the Royal Family, and I’m here working and doing the very thing that I was born to do.”

A royal source told the outlet that William believes Harry is acting as though he can slide back into a working royal role whenever it suits him. As per the insider, the 2020 deal was clear, according to which Harry and Meghan wanted independence, and getting it meant giving up any claim to working royal status. What frustrates William most, the source said, is watching Harry essentially “posing as a working royal.”

The insider claimed Harry’s return to Britain only raises the stakes further. William reportedly wants an unmistakable line between who officially represents the King and who doesn’t. That instinct lines up with recent developments, which claim William pushed for “zero ambiguity” after Charles’s own letter on the Sussexes’ status.

According to the source, William is particularly wary of the situation resembling the rejected “half-in, half-out” arrangement from 2020, this time without any palace approval. Harry, for his part, reportedly sees things very differently. He believes stepping back from official duties never stopped him from continuing the public service he’s carried out since childhood.
