Donald Trump just dropped a major update to his presidential rankings, and his own placement might not surprise you. The president shared a revised chart on Truth Social that reshuffles several former leaders and adds notable names to the list.
Donald Trump’s Sept. 6 ranking adds several former presidents to the chart
President Donald Trump released an updated version of his presidential rankings on Truth Social. The revised chart features multiple former presidents absent from his first list posted Aug. 27. Trump remains alone atop the rankings under the label “The Greatest.”
His initial chart placed Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson one level below. That group carried the designation “Great” on both versions of the list. The overall structure of the top two tiers stayed unchanged in the revision.
The updated chart introduces a new “Near Great” category featuring several prominent leaders. Theodore Roosevelt, Grover Cleveland, John Adams, James K. Polk, and Dwight D. Eisenhower fill that tier. Ronald Reagan, widely regarded as a Republican Party icon, also appears in that grouping.
Woodrow Wilson and John F. Kennedy earned spots on the expanded version as well. Gerald Ford and George W. Bush made their first appearances on the chart too. Bush, notably, did not receive a favorable placement in the rankings.
Trump originally labeled Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Ulysses S. Grant, Warren Harding and Jimmy Carter as “Failures.” The revised list now places George W. Bush and Herbert Hoover in that same bottom tier. Hoover had previously held an “Average” ranking before dropping to the lowest category.
Trump offered no public commentary on either version of the graphic. The charts appeared exclusively as posts on his Truth Social platform. Reagan’s mid-tier placement attracted notice given his conservative legacy. Kennedy’s addition broadened the scope beyond purely partisan selections. Both versions of the rankings position Trump himself above every other American president.
