Judge Jeanine Pirro sparked new online backlash after posting a gym video on Tuesday. The U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia filmed herself bench pressing 45 pounds for 10 reps, continuing a fitness trend that several of Donald Trump’s administration officials have embraced in recent weeks.
Jeanine Pirro trolled over her new workout video
Pirro shared the 19-second clip on X with a caption that read: “10 reps of 45 lbs. My morning workout preparing to fight crime in DC.” The video opens with Pirro looking into the camera and saying, “Good morning, Brian.” It remains unclear who she addressed. The theme music from Rocky IV plays as the video speeds up during her lifts. After finishing the set, she sits up and asks, “Impressed?”
The video quickly drew ridicule online, with users referencing recent legal setbacks for Pirro’s office. In November, a D.C. jury acquitted Sean Dunn, a man charged with throwing a footlong sandwich at a Border Patrol agent. Last month, Pirro dropped charges against a former Olympian accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Prosecutors admitted the damage came from flawed installation work by the contractor, not criminal acts.
Criticism also came from some apparent supporters of the Trump administration. One X user expressed frustration with Pirro’s handling of violent crime cases and suggested she focus less on workout content. President Donald Trump previously blasted Pirro after her office dropped the Reflecting Pool case. He reportedly said she “choked” and “folded like an umbrella” during an Oval Office press gathering.
After the dispute, Pirro released a video promoting Trump’s increased federal law enforcement presence in Washington. She remains in her position despite Trump’s earlier criticism, but the workout video has renewed scrutiny of her public profile and record as the city’s top federal prosecutor.
