Rumer Willis is seeking an emergency custody order to keep her ex-husband Derek Thomas’ visits with their daughter supervised. The actress has alleged that Thomas violated custody orders several times earlier in June. The couple had their daughter, Louetta, in 2023, and split the following year.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Willis has filed an emergency request on the matter. In the documents, she asks for the judge to prolong supervised visitation with Thomas as the custody battle rages on.
Court filing details alleged custody order violations and safety concerns
Willis’ filing details several allegations of unsafe judgment and violations of the court’s orders. According to her filing, Thomas has allegedly exercised dangerous judgment regarding their child since June 20, 2026. At the time, Thomas had completed five and a half visits due to ongoing disputes regarding a court-mandated nanny who was assigned to look over their daughter.
The assigned nanny had to stop working, citing health issues, but Thomas, Willis claims, refused to accept a replacement. Willis alleges that Thomas and his attorney argued he should be allowed to spend unsupervised time with Louetta, contrary to the court’s June 9 order. Willis also claims that Thomas, at one point, refused to allow a court-ordered supervisor into his home.
The allegations continue, as Willis argues, involving an incident where Thomas left the nanny with their daughter during a Fourth of July parade. Thomas is also claimed to have spent time with their daughter in an Airbnb with strangers, while forcing the nanny to wait outside. Another incident, shared in the court filing, alleges that Thomas wanted to cross a five-lane highway with a 55-mph speed limit while accompanied by Louetta. Not wanting to rent a car, Thomas chose to walk almost two and a half miles with their daughter in extreme heat instead.
The filings include declarations from three nannies and documents from the couple’s communications. In response, Thomas and his representatives have denied the allegations.
