After Sadie Sink, another Stranger Things lead could finally get their Marvel moment. The star is reportedly in talks to join the MCU, adding to a growing list of the show’s cast entering the superhero franchise.
Millie Bobby Brown could join the MCU as well
Millie Bobby Brown might finally land a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Insider MyTimeToShineHello claimed on X that Brown “is now in serious talks to join the MCU.” No details about a specific role have surfaced yet. Brown would follow Stranger Things co-star Sadie Sink, who recently joined the franchise as well.
The Stranger Things star has a history with Marvel-related projects. She disclosed in an Entertainment Weekly video that she tried out for Logan. Brown read for the role of X-23 opposite Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
“I screentested with Hugh Jackman when I was like, 11 or 12,” Brown shared. She confirmed the audition tied to “the Wolverine movies.” Dafne Keen eventually won the part of X-23, also called Laura.
Brown also opened up about how the rejection affected her. “Broken. I felt like I probably didn’t get it, because I think there was someone else that was better,” she admitted. Keen went on to reprise the character in 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine with Ryan Reynolds.
Logan hit theaters in 2017, just one year after Stranger Things launched on Netflix. The film received a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination at the Academy Awards. Jackman later suited up again as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine following years of fan campaigning.
Brown has carved out a diverse career beyond Stranger Things since then. She led the Enola Holmes movies and starred in the Godzilla franchise. She also recently appeared in The Electric State for Netflix. Brown will next reunite with Stranger Things co-star David Harbour in a new Netflix show. An MCU role would mark her long-awaited debut in the superhero genre.
