Ivanka explained that although the quote appears “deceptively simple” and “uncomplicated” on the face, it is “profound and deeply moving” beneath the surface. The 44-year-old further penned: “Goodbye to a bright light. A peerless singer, incredible songwriter, gifted comic actress, tireless philanthropist, accomplished businesswoman and true original.”
Towards the end, she added, “We never met, but I adored and admired Dolly greatly.” Interestingly, Parton gave the quote in 2023, when she was criticized for collaborating with Kid Rock. For those unversed, he is known to be a Trump supporter (via HuffPost).
Fans on the internet reminded Ivanka that her father, President Trump, does not endorse these values. One fan commented, “She was what you will never be.
