All five seasons of Orphan Black are leaving Netflix next month. According to What’s On Netflix, the sci-fi thriller is scheduled to leave the streaming platform on September 1, 2026.
Created by Graeme Manson and John Fawcett, Orphan Black premiered on March 30, 2013, and concluded its five-season run on August 12, 2017. The series follows Sarah Manning, a woman with a troubled past whose life takes an unexpected turn after she witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks exactly like her.
Sarah decides to take on the dead woman’s identity, hoping to gain access to her money and start a new life with her daughter, Kira. However, the plan quickly becomes complicated when Sarah discovers that Beth was a police officer involved in a dangerous situation. She also learns that Beth was Sarah’s clone.
As Sarah investigates the origins of the clones, she becomes involved in a conspiracy that puts her life at risk. The situation becomes more dangerous when an assassin begins targeting the clones, forcing Sarah to find answers while trying to protect herself and her daughter.
The series’ cast features Tatiana Maslany as Sarah Manning, Dylan Bruce as Paul Dierden, Jordan Gavaris as Felix “Fee” Dawkins, Kevin Hanchard as Art Bell, Michael Mando as Vic Schmidt, and Maria Doyle Kennedy as Siobhan Sadler, among others.
Orphan Black received critical acclaim during its five-season run and earned several awards. The series currently holds an average 93 percent critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, its audience score stands at an average of 92 percent.
