A final trailer for Insidious: Out of the Further has been released. In the supernatural horror film, Amelia Eve’s character possesses a new ability that allows demons to enter the real world without needing a human host.
The official synopsis reads, “Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in, discovers she can travel into The Further, where she possesses an ability to bring what lives there back to the real world.”

What happens in the final Insidious: Out of the Further trailer?
The trailer opens to an eerie version of Tiptoe Through the Tulips by Tiny Tim echoing in the background. Amelia Eve’s character, Gemma, is seen walking toward a phone. When she answers it, an unseen entity screams her name from behind her. The scene cuts to her in the Further with Elise Rainier.
Rainier tells Gemma, “You can do something I didn’t think was possible. You can bring demons back from the Further to the human world, permanently.” This marks a major change for the Insidious franchise, as previous protagonists could only bring demons back through possession.
The new character introduces a major evolution to the storyline. Demons from the Further no longer need to possess a host to enter the real world. Instead, they must make physical contact with Gemma to cross over.
The trailer then shows Gemma repeatedly encountering three entities in the real world. As she travels between the Further and the real world, more demons attach themselves to her. What makes this movie even more anticipated by fans is that every other demon defeated in previous movies makes a comeback in Out of the Further.
Insidious: Out of the Further is helmed by Jacob Chase, who also wrote the story with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Lin Shaye will reprise her role as Elise in the movie. The ensemble also includes Island Austin, Sam Spruell, Brandon Perea, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Laura Gordon.
