While speaking to Collider‘s Steven Weintraub at the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con, Bowie hyped up the season finale of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, saying that it will likely get a big reaction out of fans.
“It’s gonna be a massive ‘what the f—‘ at the end,” the 55-year-old artist noted. “Yeah, at the end of Episode 10, there is just going to be a staggering amount of befuddled cursing across the viewership.”
Brian Posehn, who plays Bert in the series, doubled down on his co-star’s tease about Stuart Fails to Save the Universe’s Season 1 finale, stating, “I think you’re gonna want more. ‘What? When can I see where this goes?’ Yeah, that’s my takeaway.”
The fourth spin-off series in the Big Bang Theory franchise, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe follows the misadventures of the quirky comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, played by Kevin Sussman, after he accidentally damages a futuristic device created by Leonard, Sheldon, and Howard. This triggers a multiversal armageddon that forces Stuart to band together with his friends and embark on a journey across dimensions to prevent reality from collapsing.
When asked about the possibilities of a potential second season during the discussion, co-creator Chuck Lorre noted, “Yeah, that was discussed. But, you know, we’re sitting tight and waiting to see how this unfolds. But we’re hoping to start writing again soon.” The Big Bang Theory spin-off premiered on HBO Max on July 23, 2026, and has aired two of its 10-episode roster so far.
