The View co-host Joy Behar sparked reactions after making an on-air joke about the sex life of her boss, executive producer Brian Teta.
It happened during an interview with Summer House stars Lindsay Hubbard and Kyle Cooke. Behar brought up Cooke’s earlier remark that he and his wife, fellow Bravo star Amanda Batula, had little intimacy during their marriage.
“During the [Summer House] reunion, viewers were shocked that you and Amanda had not been intimate for four years,” she remarked. The 83-year-old then shifted her focus to the show’s producer, before adding, “Kind of like Brian.”
Producers immediately cut to Teta reacting with his hands in the air, caught off guard by the comment. A different angle captured Whoopi Goldberg looking over, clearly taken aback.
“That’s our boss!” Sara Haines shouted out after Cooke admitted he didn’t recognize who “Brian” was. “I was like, I don’t know Brian, but, I’m sorry!” Cooke responded. The comedian went on, glancing at her notes as she remarked, “Brian is the butt of our jokes a lot, but he likes it.”
This isn’t new for Behar and Teta. They’re known for cheeky back-and-forth, especially on Behind the Table. They’ve previously poked fun at Behar’s dating life too. One time involved a young guy who kept flirting with her and hit on her at a casino.
Joy Behar made another spicy comment about Brian Teta earlier this week. She claimed that he “begged” her to work her day off after three co-hosts were out for Monday’s broadcast. They missed it due to global natural disasters, including East Coast storms and a volcano that trapped Goldberg in Italy.
