TMZ shared photos of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively spending time together, away from Taylor Swift’s wedding festivities. The actor-couple cheered for their daughter Betty, who participated in a horse show in Lake Placid, New York, on Thursday.
Reynolds and Lively stripped away their vanity by opting for casual outfits on their farm visit. The Gossip Girl star donned a halter-neck top with denim shorts, with her hair tied in a messy bun. Meanwhile, the Deadpool star wore a plain white T-shirt, khaki pants, and a tan hat.
The location is reportedly four and a half hours away from New York City, where Swift and Kelce are currently celebrating with friends and family. Notably, Lively and Swift had been close friends for years. However, they reportedly had a fallout when Lively dragged Swift’s name through her headline-making legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
Various media outlets reported that the Grammy winner was angry and frustrated over her name being drawn into the controversy. Previously, the Daily Mail reported that the “Opalite” singer had resumed contact with Lively after their recent falling out.
The source shared, “Taylor was not happy about being dragged into the lawsuit but was more receptive to speaking to Blake as the suit came to a close. Blake was ready to resume their friendship because it really was what caused its demise.”
The insider explained that the two women had since “spoken”. Moreover, Lively was so confident that she would attend that she had already picked out a dress. However, Page Six refuted the claims, explaining that the global pop icon has not extended an olive branch to Lively.
The source dished, “There hasn’t been an olive branch when it comes to their friendship. And Taylor hasn’t extended a wedding invitation to Blake.”
