Hunter Biden jokingly nominates Donald Trump for a Nobel Prize
Hunter Biden has launched yet another scathing attack on Donald Trump, this time mockingly saying that he would nominate the president for a Nobel Peace Prize. The quip refers to Trump’s longtime wish to receive the award as well as his multiple claims about ending the Iran war. In an X (formerly Twitter) post on July 2, Biden said, “I am officially nominating Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) for the Nobel Peace Prize. No President in History has ended the same war so many times.”
Biden continued, “Our Dear Leader has ended the war with Iran at least 38 times by CNN’s count. No President has ever done this before. And he is nowhere near finished ending it.” He concluded the tweet by saying, “It’s a record worthy of the Nobel committee’s recognition. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
The ongoing Iran conflict has yet to see an end despite multiple peace deals in the past that have collapsed subsequently. Over the months, Trump has reportedly made a series of conflicting claims about ending the war and reaching a peace agreement.
Most recently, the president gave another statement on the ongoing peace talks with Iran while speaking to reporters before boarding Air Force One on July 1. “They’ve had very good meetings, and we’ll see,” Trump said. “We hit them very hard for three nights, as you know, but we’re getting along very well.” Speaking at an Oval Office event a few days before that, Trump stated, “We’re winning militarily. It’s almost won militarily, I would say.”
The U.S. and Iran had reached a temporary peace deal in June. However, the agreement collapsed again as the U.S. continued its strikes in the following weeks.
