However, the crowd had a mixed reaction, with some cheering the singer and others booing her.

The crowd reportedly booed Taylor Swift at Alan Jackson’s show. Jackson was hosting a huge, celebratory concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Fans packed the stadium to bid adieu to the iconic country singer with the event aptly titled, “Last Call: One More for the Road — The Finale.”
Several notable artists, such as Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, and more, paid tribute to Jackson. Just before the 67-year-old was about to take center stage for his performance, the announcer shared that there was one more tribute. The onstage screen played a pre-recorded message from Swift, who started out as a country singer before pivoting to pop music (via TMZ).
Immediately, the crowd erupted in what can best be described as a mixed bag of reactions. Some fans cheered loudly for the pop star, while others booed her. In fact, the chants from fans made it hard to decipher what the Grammy winner was trying to say.
However, towards the end of the video, she said to Jackson, “I appreciate you so much for the ways that you have just treated me and the other artists and writers with such support and encouragement over the years. And I am so excited for your show.”
Unsurprisingly, the video went viral on the internet, and Swifties jumped in to defend the singer. One fan commented, “Some fans seem determined to find drama even in a respectful tribute video.” A second fan wrote, “Nobody can be happy for Taylor Swift. Everybody has to take a swing at her, and you know she’s a kind and generous woman. She’s generous with her time and her money. Saying those things about Taylor doesn’t say anything bad about her but it speaks volumes about the people who do.”
